About
Mr. Fragile is a stop-motion animation about a creature made of wooden blocks. Mr. Fragile enjoys sleeping, drinking coffee, and going for walks. One day he loses this tooth and decides to go to the dentist.
Animation plays with abstract visual metaphors. By adding the sound, I was able to change the context of the scene, add the meaning, emotions to the “blocks”. I recorded the sound of the characters using the same wooden blocks I used for the animation. The animation was done undersupervision of Max Porter from Oscar Nominated Studio “Tiny Inventions” during my time at Rhode Island School of Design.
The animation got an honorable mention in the magazine 3x3 and was selected to be shown in festivals such as Prime The Animation! New Talent International Festival, That’s ANIMATO!, International Animation Film Student Awards @Sottodiciotto Film Festival (special meniton), Savigny Animation Festival and Bratislava Biennale Animation Festival
